Every product we sell is covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty. To ensure a satisfactory process of any and all warranty claims, please review our policy below.
Some of our products require installation by a certified professional. This is especially the case for electrical and natural gas products such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, as well as plumbing products, which are not intended to be installed by the end user. If you purchased a product of this type and it is malfunctioning, our qualified technicians can review the installation process and diagnose the problem with your installer. This policy ensures that your product is installed in accordance with all applicable regulations and specifications. If an electrical or natural gas product is not installed by a certified professional, be aware that the warranty on your product will be voided.
In many cases, our flooring products do not require to be installed by a professional. However, depending on the complexity of the installation, we may recommend that you hire a certified contractor.
If you are unsure whether or not your product requires installation by a certified professional, simply contact us to verify.
Defects and malfunctions
Should you notice a defect or malfunction on a product purchased from Comfort Outlet within the warranty period, simply contact us by phone or email with your invoice number and, if necessary, the name of your contractor. In all cases, please ensure that the product’s warranty is still valid. If the warranty period is expired, we will charge you the price for the product or part(s) thereof which need to be replaced.
Also, keep in mind that the warranty applies to products which are properly installed according to all regulations and specifications, and which suffer from defects under normal usage conditions. Products improperly installed (i.e. installed by an end user when a certified professional is required), or suffering from defects under usage conditions for which they are not intended (i.e. a residential product installed in a commercial space) will incur a charge for its replacement, either in whole or in part.
The majority of contractors will offer a one year warranty on labour on their installations. Casa Reno Direct is not responsible in any way for any and all aspects of labour warranties, whether installation, repairs, or any other aspect of contractor services. Any defect or malfunction due to an aspect of labour should be referred to the contractor involved in the work.
